Some Experimental Data on the Heats of Combustion of Benzoic Acid and Carbon (Graphite)
note CO2bProsen 1944 report the enthalpy of combustion of graphite (two Buckingham and two artificial samples) to form 44.010 g of CO2 at 298.15 and std. conditions as 393502 +- 55 int. J/mol, which converts to 393565 +- 55 abs. J/mol, or for 44.0095 g of CO2 to 393560 +- 55 J/mol. Note that CODATA Key Vals quotes this result as 393.58 +- 0.06 kJ/mol and Cox 1970 give 94065 +- 13 cal/mol = 393568 +- 54 J/mol.
