Prosen 1944 | E. J. Prosen and F. D. Rossini, J. Res. Natl. Bur. Stand. 33, 439-446 (1944) Some Experimental Data on the Heats of Combustion of Benzoic Acid and Carbon (Graphite) |
note CO2b | Prosen 1944 report the enthalpy of combustion of graphite (two Buckingham and two artificial samples) to form 44.010 g of CO2 at 298.15 and std. conditions as 393502 +- 55 int. J/mol, which converts to 393565 +- 55 abs. J/mol, or for 44.0095 g of CO2 to 393560 +- 55 J/mol. Note that CODATA Key Vals quotes this result as 393.58 +- 0.06 kJ/mol and Cox 1970 give 94065 +- 13 cal/mol = 393568 +- 54 J/mol. |
